New York -- Some 3,000 tons of uncovered rubble at the trade center area was taken by boat to a former Staten Island garbage dump, believed to be Fresh Kills, where the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and other investigators searched for evidence, according to the Associated Press. Cranes and other heavy machinery carefully waded through the wreckage to pick up the rubble, hoping to avoid harming any survivors in the wreckage.
