Amount of Debris Hauled Jumps to More Than 250,000 Tons

New York -- As of Wednesday evening, a reported 258,710 tons, or nearly 16,000 truckloads, of debris had been hauled away from the World Trade Center site to the Fresh Kills Landfill, Staten Island, N.Y.
